How this track works
PROTACs and molecular glues bring a disease-causing protein next to an E3 ligase, the cell's recycling machinery, so the cell breaks the protein down itself. This opens up targets once considered undruggable because they lack a pocket for a conventional inhibitor. Degraders of the androgen receptor, BTK and other targets have reached late-stage trials, and AI-driven design and new E3 ligases are where competition is heading.
