Privacy Notice

Privacy Notice

Effective July 26, 2026. This notice explains how Drugnews handles reader data and website analytics choices.

1. Who operates this website

Drugnews is operated by RuoYu Capital Communications Co., Ltd. and publishes biotech and pharmaceutical industry research. For privacy questions, email drugnews.dr.pan@gmail.com.

2. Data we process

You can read the site without optional analytics. Hosting and content-delivery services may temporarily process IP address, request time, browser information, and error logs as part of normal delivery and security.

Google Analytics loads only after you explicitly agree. Analytics data may include page path, referrer, safety-filtered UTM campaign parameters, device and browser type, interaction events, and an estimated country or region. Our front-end configuration removes general query strings and fragments and does not send form content, email addresses, or telephone numbers as analytics event data.

3. Why we use data

  • To deliver a stable, secure, and readable website.
  • With consent, to understand which Chinese and English content is read, where readers arrive from, and whether global content is discoverable.
  • To improve articles, navigation, and company-service entry points—not to provide individualized medical or investment advice.

4. Your choice and withdrawal

Analytics is off by default. You may choose “Necessary only” or “Allow analytics.” Your choice is stored in first-party localStorage with a status, policy version, and timestamp. You can withdraw at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer. On withdrawal, the site stops subsequent analytics and attempts to remove Google Analytics cookies set for this domain.

5. Google Analytics and third-party processing

We use Basic Consent: the Google tag is not loaded before consent, after rejection, or after withdrawal. Even when analytics is allowed, our site does not request advertising storage, advertising user data, or advertising personalization, and it disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. Google may process data outside Taiwan. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Retention and sharing

Your privacy choice remains in your browser until you change it, clear site data, or the policy version changes. If GA4 is formally enabled, event retention will use the shortest available setting that supports basic operational analysis. We do not sell reader personal data or use analytics data for advertising personalization.

7. Your rights and updates

You can clear browser site data, refuse or withdraw analytics, and contact us to ask about identifiable data or request correction or deletion. Rights depend on applicable law. If our services, purposes, or legal requirements materially change, this page will show a new effective date and the consent policy version will be increased so readers are asked again.
